At every wedding I photograph, I cry. The most emotional part of the wedding day for me is the first look, personal vows and parent dancess. After photographing weddings in Fresno and the surrounding areas,  I've  really come to value the unexpected, intimate moments that take place on a wedding day.

The hug your mom gives you before you leave your dressing room. The tear that falls down their cheek when they sees you walking down the aisle. The way the two of you lean your heads together during the toasts. The uncontrollable laughter you two share between inside jokes.

I feel honored to be chosen to celebrate one of the most important days with you and your family. From start to finish, I want you to have a timeless record of your day.

Capturing Love, connection + joy

Michelle, I don’t even know where to begin. All I can say is that you have clients for life. To be able to relive a day through photos is remarkable - we experience so much joy and awe viewing our special day. You captured it perfectly through your lenses. More than a vendor, you are a friend to us and we are so grateful for you. 💕

“Oh my gosh. The photos are stunning! We love you!”

So are your wedding portraits.

the Process

Most couples book a year or two in advance, so first things first, reach out so I can secure your date. It's best to reach out as soon as you have your venue secured. However, sometimes I do have last minute availability. You've thoroughly combed through my website, blog and Instagram feed and you like what you see. So the next step is setting up a time to chat to make sure we're the perfect fit for one another.

Let's Chat!

the process —

Once your date is officially reserved, I'll send over a few goodies to help you prepare for the big day. I am happy to serve as a resource for vendor recommendations, timeline guidance and more!

Date Booked!

the process —

Sessions can take place anywhere from immediately following a proposal to just a few days before the wedding. I've found that there isn’t a “good” or “bad” time to take your photos. Take a moment to think about what time of year you'd like your session and what your ideal location is like that time of year.

The Session

the process —

I check in about two months before your wedding to start chatting about timeline specifics, special details, family formal shot lists, special traditions and anything else I should know about your big day.

Wedding Prep

the process —

It's finally here! The day the two of you say "I Do" and dance the night away surrounded by your family and friends. Just know I am excited to celebrate and capture your wedding day.

The Big Day

the process —

You can expect your photos to be delivered via an online gallery within about six weeks of your wedding. At that time, I'll also send over details about preserving your images through prints and albums.

They're Here!

I was never obsessed with weddings — until I got engayged.

My wife & I were ecstatic to start planning our wedding. A week into it, I attended my first bridal show, and after walking through every vendor's booth, I noticed a consistent theme: the wedding industry is very heteronormative. This wasn’t true just for the vendors at that particular wedding show, but across the board outside of that bridal show, too.

It felt as though we had to 'come out' to every vendor we came into contact with. It was exhausting.

So instead, we began looking for a photographer that was an open ally for the LGBTQIA+ community, someone who specialized in non-traditional families. Through this process, it dawned on me that other couples might be experiencing the same stressors, and it inspired me to shift my photography skills to focus on capturing and cherishing love of all kinds, creating an especially safe space for the LGBTQIA+ community.

It was a natural next step to be honest. My wife comes from a very blended family ( 1 of 7 with half + step siblings), and I also come from blended + chosen families.

WHAT I KNOW IS THIS:
LOVE IS LOVE IS LOVE.

I BELIEVE:

That every couple, love story, & wedding are unique,

That your portraits should reflect who you are, and

That a great wedding photographer will serve you & ensure you are taken care of.

These pictures exceeded all expectations of what I thought they were going to be. There are literally so many photos that I found myself swooning over every single one. Michelle brought our vision to fruition in these photos. She is an amazing person and photographer. How do I give Michelle more than 5 stars? I don't even know where to start, hiring Michelle was a blessing.

Our experience with Michelle was out of this world! At first, searching for vendors who are inclusive and LGBTQ+ friendly was a bit scary. We had been ghosted by one vendor and we were a bit nervous to continue our search. When it came to Michelle, we had no doubt in our minds that she was perfect to have as our photographer! Her attention to detail, flexibility, and most important her inclusivity is unmatched. My wife and I consider her a friend above all else, and having her apart of such a special day helped to ease our concerns and stress of planning a wedding through COVID-19.

You MUST book her now! We have zero regrets.”
